Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is saved or sent to InboxLoop.

How to use it

  1. Add one wide image.
  2. Choose the columns and rows, and the tile ratio (3:4 or 4:5).
  3. Download the numbered tiles.
  4. For a profile grid, post the highest-numbered tile first. For a carousel, post from 1.

A worked example

Example: a 3 by 2 grid

  • 3 columns and 2 rows make 6 tiles.
  • Post tile 6 first, then 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1. Tile 1 ends up at the top left.
  • For a carousel panorama, upload tiles 1 to 3 in order instead.

Instagram has changed the shape of the profile grid before, so check which tile ratio your profile shows.

How to post the tiles

The tiles are numbered in posting order. For a profile grid, post the last tile first so that the first tile ends up at the top left. For a carousel panorama, upload the tiles in order from left to right.

Instagram profile grids show posts in a 3-column layout. If you change the column count, the tiles will not align with the grid. Instagram has changed the profile grid shape before, so pick the tile ratio that matches what your profile displays.

Privacy

The image is split locally in your browser. It is not uploaded to InboxLoop or anywhere else.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Posting in the wrong order. The grid then reads back to front.
  • Using a column count other than 3 for a profile grid. The tiles will not line up.
  • Starting with a low-resolution image. Each tile is cut from the original.
  • Posting other content in between. New posts push the grid out of alignment.

Questions about this tool

Which order do I post the tiles in?

For a profile grid, post the highest-numbered tile first. For a carousel, post them in order from 1.

What size are the tiles?

Each tile is 1080 pixels wide. Choose a 3:4 or 4:5 tile ratio. Instagram has changed the shape of the profile grid, so check which ratio your profile shows.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser.

Why is each tile numbered?

The numbers tell you the posting order. Profile grids need the reverse order from carousels.

Do the tiles stay aligned later?

Only until you post something new, which shifts every post by one place.
