These are Unicode look-alike characters, not real fonts. They can read oddly in screen readers and are not searchable, so use them for short phrases.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is saved or sent to InboxLoop.
How to use it
- Type or paste your text in the box.
- Scroll through the styles. Each card shows your text in that style.
- Press Copy on the one you like.
- Paste it into your bio, Highlight title or caption heading, and preview on a phone.
A worked example
Example: where styled text helps and where it hurts
- Good: a short name or heading in a bio, such as a shop name or Highlight title.
- Risky: a whole caption or a keyword people need to search for or comment.
Never style the keyword that triggers an automation. People type plain letters, so a styled version will not match.
How these fonts work
Instagram only displays one typeface. The styles on this page swap each letter for a Unicode character that looks like a bold, italic or script version of it, which is why the result survives copy and paste.
Because the characters are different code points, the text is not searchable in the usual way and some screen readers read it oddly. Use styled text for short phrases such as a name or a heading, not for whole paragraphs or for words you want people to search.
Where to use them
Styled text is common in bios, Highlight titles and caption headings. A bio is limited to 150 characters, so check the length after you style it. A style can look different on some devices, so preview your bio on a phone before you publish.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Styling long paragraphs. They are hard to read and screen readers may read them oddly.
- Styling your username or the word a trigger listens for.
- Not previewing. A few styles show as boxes on some devices.
- Using several styles at once. One accent style looks cleaner.
Questions about this tool
Do these fonts work everywhere on Instagram?
They work wherever you can paste text. Some devices render a few styles as boxes or with different shapes, so test on a phone.
Are styled letters bad for accessibility?
They can be read oddly by screen readers, so keep them to short phrases and keep important information in plain text.
Does the tool store my text?
No. It runs in your browser.
Will styled text show up in search?
Usually not as the plain word, because the characters are different code points. Keep searchable words in plain text.
Is it safe to use these in a bio?
They are ordinary text characters, so they paste like any other text. Check how they look on a phone.
